Why a Google My Business page?
Let’s face it: A Google My Business page does not get you anywhere on its own. Your business needs to be visible in one of the top spots to make an impact. This is where Local SEO kicks in. In order to get into the top spots on Google Search and Google Maps, you need citations (see below for a good definition of citation building), quality backlinks and a website that has been optimized for Google. Among other things, local SEO takes care of all that.
What is Local SEO?
Local SEO aims to make your business appear in the local search results pages on Google and Bing, when users search for the products or services that you offer. A high ranking in local search results is absolutely crucial for local businesses, which often depend on that visibility to generate a large portion of their revenue. Among other things, Local SEO deals with Google My Business pages, citation building (see below for a good definition), quality backlinks and a website with content that has been optimized for search engines.
What’s important to know: if one of your competitors does rank higher than you, in the local search results on Google or Bing, it doesn’t mean that they are better than you. It may simply mean that your competitor hired a better SEO guy! That’s something you’re about to change.
What are citations?
Citations are mentions of your business name, address and phone number (NAP) on another website. Think of citations as being like reference verifications for job candidates. Search engines such as Google or Bing need to confirm your business information is accurate and up-to-date and they do this by reviewing the citations that can be found on different websites. If your business information is accurate and up-to-date across on all websites, then you have a better chance of ranking highly in local search result pages on Google and Bing.
How much does Local SEO cost?
If your website is already optimized for Local SEO and you are only interested in citation building services (see below for a good definition of “citation building”) – these start as low as 15$ per citation, or even less, in the case of volume discounts.

How do I get my Local SEO credit?
The first step to obtaining a credit is to fill in the email form that can be found on this page. It is important to add your email to the list to reserve your credit just in case you will use it later on. Just adding your email to the list does not oblige you in any way – but it reserves your right to access a credit should you want to activate it later on. To activate the credit, you must enter a valid 12-month Local SEO contract with My Internet Marketing. The credit will be deducted from the 2nd months’ invoice relating to your annual Local SEO plan. Please note that the validity of your credit has a time limit. We will send you information pertaining to local SEO and reminders so you don’t forget about the upcoming deadlines.
Why are genuine customer reviews important?
All things being equal between you and your competitors, the number of positive reviews will decide who ranks higher on local search result pages on Google or Bing.
Google makes reviews, from your Google MyBusiness Page, an important factor in its search algorithm. This is why it’s very important for improved rankings that you get strong reviews on Google My Business.
Bing takes customer reviews left on Yelp into account. All things being equal between you and your competitors, you will rank higher in local searches on Bing with strong Yelp reviews.
Do I need Google My Business if I already have a website?
Google My Business complements your existing website by giving your business a public identity and a presence on Google. The information you provide, about your business, can appear on Google Search, Google Maps, Google+ and even in AdWords ads for those who run ad campaigns on Google. For Local SEO, a Google My Business page can be a decisive factor in obtaining better search rankings on Google for local searches.
What are Visitor Heatmaps?
Visitor heatmaps help you understand, better, what users care about and want to interact with on your site, by visually representing their clicks, taps and scrolling behavior in an easy-to-understand graphic. The most often-used parts of your page are displayed in dark red, with the less viewed sections are shown in lighter red, orange or yellow. This can be a very powerful tool for optimizing website navigation and for testing sales copy. Click here to view a Visitor Heatmap.
What are Visitor Recordings?
Visitor recordings show real visitors on your site, as they click, tap, move their cursor, type and navigate across pages on your website. Visitor recordings can help you identify website usability issues by watching and understanding the recordings. Click here to view a Visitor Recording.
